Roundabout Canberra provides essential baby and children's items to families experiencing hardship in Canberra and surrounding NSW.
Volunteering will assist their efforts by providing extra pairs of hands to work through a large range of tasks while enjoying a fun team bonding experience. Your team is guaranteed to come away with a strong sense of making a difference within our community!
TEAM VOLUNTEERING - Monday from 1.30pm - 4.30 pm
Help with all sorts of tasks big and small, for example:
Repairing and safety checking prams, cots, highchairs, car seats
Cleaning and packing donations
Accepting and sorting donations
Sorting and preparing orders
As the requests for assistance grows, so does the need for volunteers.
Where do the items go? - Case workers who support women and children escaping domestic violence, as well as case workers supporting others in need, will contact Roundabout and place an order for items required. Roundabout will then fulfil order ready for pick up.
What to wear - Comfortable casual clothing with covered in shoes for safety.
Roundabout is always looking for donations
As well as below - They are ALWAYS LOOKING for prams, cots and car seats.
ASK your friends and family - nudge the neighbour! If it’s not being used at their place, it can certainly be donated to Roundabout with the full knowledge it will be going directly to a family in desperate need.
Please help us fill these urgent gaps:
Call out to friends, family, neighbours and co-workers for donations you can take on the day, donations of new items are greatly received.
DV Collective will be in contact closer to the day to advise of donations most in need.
