Roundabout - Canberra ACT

CANBERRA, ACT

“Thank you for the very timely and generous response to my request for assistance for my client. She was so thrilled, grateful and humbled that the Canberra community, via Roundabout, cares about her and her family.”

Roundabout Canberra provides safe, high quality essential baby and children's items to families in need through our network of community and not-for-profit organisations.

The focus of everything they do is on the child and ensuring every child has access to what they need to thrive.

This rewarding volunteering opportunity will mean the world to children and families in need in the ACT.

You’ll spend the afternoon helping to sort and pack items that have been ordered by social and case workers for children who have often been displaced quickly and have nothing.

By supporting the case workers and these services they can focus on their core business while ensuring essential items are available in great condition for their clients.

After all, every child deserves a safe start and every family deserves dignity.

Mums Supporting Families in Need

Mums Supporting Families in Need - MSFIN

Supporting our community’s most vulnerable families

MSFIN was started with a big heart and a simple idea. The idea that as a community, we can ensure no family is living without their basic daily needs being met. No child should go without essentials.

MSFIN works with over 80 welfare agencies to provide material aid support for families in crisis. We do not liaise directly with families; this is to ensure that families in need are provided with professional and holistic support from trained support workers.

MSFIN supports the Case Workers who support Women and Child affected by Domestic Violence and other crisis situations.

Volunteering with MSFIN will see you making a huge difference to those in need - and they promise a fun day too with meaningful and impactful tasks.

Help to clean, sort and fill orders for these case workers ready for pick up or delivery.

You’ll hear the stories of impact and meet the amazing team that co-ordinates the hundreds of requests that come in weekly.

The DV Collective will provide you a list of items a couple of weeks prior to the event.
