Every month we will reach out to more and more shelters. These organisations provide The DV Collective with an inventory list. We will continue to add more and more products as we receive more and more requests. Tangible, essential, every day items that support and comfort these women and children in a time of crisis.

Newcastle, NSW
Since 1977, Jenny's Place has been helping women and children in the Newcastle area to find safety.
The staff at Jenny’s Place help women to take control of their lives and build a better future by offering emergency shelter and short-term housing with the support to transition to longer-term housing.
Armidale, NSW
Womens Shelter Armidale supports 600 - 700 women a year in the New England Area of NSW. They provide crisis accommodation and specialised expertise for women and their families experiencing domestic violence and homelessness. Services include crisis accommodation, 24/7 response to domestic violence, medium-term (transitional) housing, case management, specialist therapeutic services delivery to children & young people.

Tennant Creek, NT
TCWR is a small rural women’s shelter run by an inspiring group of ladies assisting mostly indigenous women. They provide support and crisis accommodation to all women and accompanying children at risk of or affected by domestic, family and sexual violence. They also offer programs and services responsive to the clients' needs. Pressure from within community can mean these women must also find the courage to stand up to family and friends.
South West Refuge
Bunbury WA
South West Refuge Inc provides 24-hour crisis accommodation, a Safe at Home program, and Transitional housing for women and children escaping domestic or family violence in the South West region of Western Australia. They also provide Outreach services to women and children escaping family and domestic violence.
In total they help about 550 women a year - last year, they turned away about 250 women from their crisis accommodation.
Toora Women Inc.
Weston Creek ACT
Toora Domestic Violence Service is the ACT’s largest specialist domestic and family violence support service for women and children. They support 400 - 500 women a year through their crisis services.
Their Domestic Violence Women’s Shelter currently 12 beds. . They often need to refer on to other services if they are full.
While Women and Children are in the care of Toora Women, they have access to crisis and transitional housing, counselling, court support, case management educational programs.
This full, wrap around service is not totally funded and Toora are NOT funded for children! Toora relies on grants and fundraising to support children in shelters.
Canberra, ACT
Beryl Women Inc is now the longest running women’s refuge in Australia. They provide supported crisis accommodation for women and their children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness as a result of domestic and/or family violence.
Beryl Women Inc. is a service for all women and their children experiencing domestic/ family violence, with a strong focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and women from culturally and linguistically diverse (‘CALD’) backgrounds.
Darwin, NT
Dawn House is a Women’s Shelter offering crisis and transitional housing, counselling, court support, case management educational programs. Located in Darwin, they have women from all over the Northern Territory who come to them either via self referral, police, hospital, social workers, or outreach workers.
Dawn House is one of just 4 Shelters in Darwin. They have 30 beds for women and children and they are constantly full - turning away 191 women last year.
Great Lakes Womens Shelter is a safe haven for women and children experiencing homelessness and/or domestic or family violence in the Forster - Tuncurry region of NSW.
Forster, NSW
Since opening in January 2016, they have been providing a safe and nurturing environment for short term emergency accommodation and case support, that enables women experiencing homelessness to rebuild self-esteem and achieve control and fulfilment of their lives while living in a home like environment. The Shelter can accommodate up to 10 women with children.
Have 2 x 2br units and 1 x 6 br house.
