Connection and Engagement
Most corporates provide a volunteer program and paid volunteer leave, however the employee engagement differs greatly from one company to the next. From day 1, your employees will be engaged with Kylie, her story as a survivor of domestic violence and why The DV Collective came to be. Through inspiring stories and interviews with shelter managers, the passionate people providing essential wrap around services and those supporting women to become emotionally and financially independent, it is truely life changing to connect to purpose. If possible, Kylie prefers to be onsite for the launch, which can then be streamed to other regions, however if not possible a full online launch is also possible.
Launch - Meet Kylie and The DV Collective. Her journey as a survivor, the domestic violence statistics, that domestic violence is more than the bruises you see and how, still today, our domestic violence support services are critically underfunded and under resourced.
2. Coffee and Connect- Quarterly your employees will be invited to join Kylie and The DV Collective Members through an online Coffee and Connect. 30 - 60 minute engaging interviews with our members and the amazing impact they have in their regions. Always interactive, an opportunity to ask questions and become involved in the bigger solution.
Choose your Campaigns
Our Impact Through ACTION program offers fun, but impactful ways to make a difference. Need based investment is when we ask each member -
1 What impact do you create in your region
2 What are the barriers you have in providing your support
3. What assistance can we provide to support you build capacity so you can help more women and children escaping and recovering from domestic violence.
The DV Collective then creates fun and engaging ways for your employees to support each cause.
Choose two campaigns. We continue to add more and more options as we identify more opportunities to support our members to add to your Employee Engagement Calendar.
Car Wash
-
Due to risings costs of fuel, many support services can not afford to get out to community to provide essential support to women. Money raised through your Carwash goes directly to purchasing fuel cards.
-
The DV Collective organises a day where your employees will be rostered to wash cars through a local Car Washing facility. The co-branded event will be promoted through local media to notify the community to bring their cars down on the day.
Product Drives
-
Many women flee with just the clothes on their back. Shelters are struggling to provide the basics including nappies and toiletries.
-
The DV Collective organises product drives including nappies, toiletries, phones, baby items, P.J’s…. Partnering with over 20 shelters across Australia we identify what they need and then co-ordinate a drive through your office. Your team can then pack and sort and send off to our shelters with a message of support.
Silly Socks for a Safe House
-
Women and Children are being turned away every day as there are not enough beds at women’s shelters. The money raised through the sale of #Silly Socks purchases essential items such as toiletries, linen, kitchen essentials, underwear and nighties. This allows the shelters to spend their government funding on providing real support to women. Our goal is to build more shelters.. but one step at a time.
-
Through a wide range of different programs we co-ordinate a connection to the cause and encourage your employees or customers to purchase a pair of socks.
BBQ for Backpacks
-
Children may be removed from their homes very quickly. They do not have time to grab essential items or their favourite teddy. Also, many women struggle to provide school items, living on Single Parent Pension and living in a shelter, many children do without.
-
Spark up the BBQ, either outside your office or through your local Bunnings. If you do not have a BBQ, our team will try to secure one for you. We provide all your comm’s and a QR code. Simply spark up the BBQ and raise money for essential children items.
Garage Clean Out
-
Many women leave with just the clothes on their back and have to start again. The large children items are expensive and essential for women with small children or those who are expecting.
-
Blow the dust off the Cot, Pram or Car Seat sitting in the garage.
Remember back… preparing for your new baby and the love that went into purchasing these essential items. By donating to The DV Collective your loved items will help support a mother escaping domestic violence.

Volunteer Through Team Days Out
Volunteering time as a team is a great way to connect to a cause. The DV Collective Team co-ordinate volunteer opportunities for teams of 5 - 15 throughout Australia. Simply nominate how many you need and in what location and we will co-ordinate the rest.
The DV Collective Corporate Partnership includes 100 Volunteer Days. You can purchase more in lots of 50. A great way to compliment your existing volunteer platform and providing an option for those passionate about making a difference for women and children escaping domestic violence. Simply register a team and The DV Collective Membership Team will co-ordinate an engaging experience in your local area. From time to time there will be projects where your employees will be given the opportunity to participate. e.g. setting up a new shelter or a working bee, or building a wall for an outhouse or helping out at the annual fundraiser. Skilled volunteering is also extremely popular. Use your marketing, legal, HR, IT, or knitting skills to provide valuable support to organisations across Australia. In particular those small grass root organisations in regional communities or indigenous communities. Connection to purpose is key and we see many of our volunteers becoming part of the team.
