We need you to collect nappies during the month of October. Left over nappies or brand new. Women escaping domestic violence with young children struggle to afford basic essentials such as nappies. Simply bring in nappies to work and drop into the Collection Box. At the end of the month a team of 10 can volunteer their time to help sort, group and pack into bundles that will be sent out to shelters and case workers who support women and children escaping domestic violence.
Nappies Wanted
We're asking you to donate any "left-over" nappies you may have at home. Have your kids have gone up a size, no longer need nappies, or you bought a brand that didn't suit? We'd love your left overs...we welcome donations of new packets too!
Women and children escaping domestic violence often leave very quickly and with nothing. Any donations received are gratefully welcomed by the crisis support services that look after them.
Whether you have just a few or a lot, gather your nappies, ask your friends, family and neighbours to donate their nappies as well and bring them in to the office throughout October.
On Wednesday, November 1st, we'll get together to sort and pack nappies ready to donate to the services supporting mums and bubs in need.
On November 1st, we will come together at the ANZ office.
Kylie, the Founder of The DV Collective will be there to help sort and pack. She will introduce her story as a domestic violence survivor and how The DV Collective came to be. You will also hear from a number of shelter managers through video interviews.
